In 2021, most companies have a Statuspage set up to make it easier to communicate the real-time status of their services to their customers.

However, when you're in the heat of an incident, it's challenging to remember to update it. Where did you put that login, again? Additionally, you likely spend very little time using Statuspage, so the tool can feel unfamiliar.

To solve this, we've brought Statuspage right into Slack, to make it much easier to communicate with your customers. Type /incident statuspage to create Statuspage incidents, provide updates to ongoing incidents, and to resolve them when the impact is over.

If you've got it installed, we'll nudge you occasionally. And if you close an incident without resolving the Statuspage incident, we'll let you know too. ✨

Getting it set up 🤝

You can add Statuspage to incident.io in just a few clicks. To get started, head over to the Integrations section of incident.io. When you're ready, paste your API token, and you'll be all set.

Press 'Create key' to create an API token. Call it something nice and descriptive so it's clear to others what you're using this key for.
